MSU poli-sci faculty start politics blog

Faculty members from the political science department at Montana State University have started a blog to analyze state, local and national politics, the university announced this week.

“We hope the blog will help Montanans as they wade their way through an increasingly confusing and partisan political world,” David Parker, professor of political science, said in the university’s written statement. “It aims to provide thoughtful, nonpartisan political analysis on current events at the state, national, and international levels.”

The blog was actually begun in 2008 but has recently been revamped, Parker said, because faculty members believe a “fact-based blog is needed in an era where media outlets ‘are increasingly catering to one political side or the other.'”

Contributing writers include Linda Young, Jerry Johnson, Sara Rushing and Eric Austin.
