This morning, Verizon Wireless is expected to announced that it will carry the iPhone. This is big news in Montana, where Verizon is a major carrier and where AT&T — until today the only carrier with the iPhone in the U.S. — has played only a bit part so far.
The announcement is going on now. You can follow along live with the New York Times as I am doing, or you can do a Google search for a different live blog. Just don’t say I never gave you nuthin’.
11:06 a.m. — And just like that, Verizon has the iPhone. It will be available early next month.
