We’ve broken out the jquery skills this election season to bring voters in the Bozeman area a special feature that lets them see where their local candidates stand on a quintet of issues that will be important during the upcoming legislative session.
The questions, written by Chronicle politico Daniel Person, were sent out to candidates on Oct. 5. We published all the results we received (most of them, by the way) on Oct. 18. Candidates were given 200 words to spend anyway they like on each question. We only edited them for punctuation and spelling.
So, if you’re interested in seeing how your candidate feels about issues ranging from physician-assisted suicide to budget cuts, hop over to Where They Stand and compare and contrast their responses. (Oh, and if your candidate didn’t respond, encourage them to! The more information, the better.)
In general, you can also keep up with the Chronicle’s election coverage on our election page.
