Those wizards at Google have found yet another way to mash all of life’s modern conveniences together into one package. This time, they have made it possible to place phone calls from inside Gmail.
Call to the U.S. and Canada will be free at least until the end of the year. Calls to other countries will follow Google’s rate chart. The company has deployed the feature internally and hopes to roll it out to all its Gmail users in the next week or so.
