Edra Blixseth property being auctioned online

Do you need a nice leather chair made from elephant hide? A framed photo of Maj. Gen. W.T. Sherman? A face massage machine? A king-sized bed frame featuring a three-dimensional carving of a Greco Roman scene?

These and about 470 other items once owned by Edra Blixseth are on the auction block right now over at Burns Online Auctions, where a financial company from Colorado is auctioning off Blixseth’s property in an effort to collect on a $13 million loan she and her son defaulted on, the AP reports.

Blixseth, you might recall, is the ex-wife of Tim Blixseth. The couple founded the ill-fated Yellowstone Club near Big Sky. When the couple divorced, Edra won the club, but in 2009, she declared bankruptcy. It seems the club’s finances were not quite in order (details).

Background aside, the online auction is sort of like going to a really eccentric person’s estate sale or a quirky antique shop. Check it out, and let me know in the comments if you spot any must-have items or big bargains.
