Bresnan’s owners may be looking to sell

The major owners of Bresnan Communications may be looking to sell the company, the Billings Gazette reports.

bresnan.pngRhode Island-based Providence Equity Partners and Quadrangle Group LLC in New York City hired UBS Financial Services last month to evaluate how much Bresnan is worth, according to the Associated Press report of the story. The two companies have had a stake in Bresnan since 2002.

Bresnan offers high-definition cable, Internet and telephone services to more than 320,000 customers in Montana, Colorado, Wyoming and Utah, the company says on its website. The Gazette story puts this number at 308,000, noting that 44 percent of those customers are in Montana.
