Google Docs gets major upgrades

Mashable’s Ben Parr reports that Google has completely rebuilt Google Docs to make the programs faster, add new features and make it easier for people to collaborate. (CNET, Washington Post)

The update add loads of features that let lots of people collaborate on a document in real time, even to the point of being able to see what another person is typing as they type it. You can also chat with colleagues.

Very cool stuff. If all these features work as advertised, it will take Google Docs one step closer to wooing a lot of the customers who have opted for the much more expensive Microsoft Office.
